A Academia de Artes & Ciências Televisivas anunciou na noite deste domingo (18) os ganhadores do 68º Emmy Awards, principal premiação da TV dos Estados Unidos. A cerimônia aconteceu no Microsoft Theater (antigo Nokia Theatre), em Los Angeles, com apresentação de Jimmy Kimmel.

"Game of Thrones" se tornou a série com maior número de troféus na história da premiação - com 38 estatuetas, superando a comédia Frazier, exibida entre 1993 e 2004, qua havia levado 37.

Outro destaque foi a série limitada 'People vs O. J. Simpson', sobre o polêmico julgamento do astro de futebol americano, acusado de matar a própria esposa. A produção ganhou cinco prêmios entre 22 indicações.

A comédia 'Veep' novamente levou a melhor como a melhor do gênero e a atriz Julia Louis-Dreyfus ganhou pela quinta vez seguida o prêmio de melhor atriz cômica.

Uma surpresa foi o troféu de melhor ator em série dramática para Rami Malek, o hacker antissocial de 'Mr. Robot'
